Here's an account of how I spent my weekend (since there's nothing else to talk about)
SaturdayWent back to school to retrieve my math books. Forgot to bring them back last friday. After that, went for chinese tuition. Had this trainee teacher sitting next to me throughout the lesson. Had to be on my best behaviour. After tuition, went to the Jurong East library and IMM with my mum. Borrowed a couple of books and bought my acrylic paints and drawing pencils from Popular. Also, bought a really nice white cardigan from Dano.
SundayWent out to Orchard with my mum. Its been ages since I last went to Orchard. Saw ION Orchard up close. Really nice building. Will visit it when it opens. My mum wanted to buy stuff so I went to Borders alone. Loads of really nice books and CDs but the prices are so ridiculously high! I spotted FOB's Folie a Deux and they sold it for like, $24.95! So damn expensive. I practically bought it for $7.90! In the end, I just grabbed "The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton and settled down in one of the black armchairs near the CD section to read. And that book is amazing! One of the best books I've ever read! No wonder it won a prize. It was written really really really well. And trust me when I say a book is good. It was fantastic! I'd recommend everyone to read it. But unfortunately, my mum called me at about 4.30 and said we had to go home. Super reluctant to leave. I was already halfway through the book. If I had a choice, I would gladly spend all day in Borders, reading the books there. The atmosphere is so nice and that armchair was really comfy. But, I should know better than to lust after books in Borders. "The Outsiders" was such a thin book (about 200 pages) and it cost $18.95! Wanted to buy the book but my mum said no, and that I could borrow it from the library. I suppose that's a better alternative since books from the library is free. But having a nice new book is better, because the books at the library are so old and tattered. That's why Borders is my ideal "library" since all the books are brand-new. Sigh.
Hopefully we can go to Borders again next week. But with EOYs in two months' time and homework piling up, I don't think I'll be able to go out very often anymore. Can't wait for EOYs to be over, since I promised myself I could re-watch BOF and probably get started on Shugo Chara or Goong or some other series like that. Also, I would be able to watch Knowing and 17 Again, Hannah Montana and all the other movies that I have been longing to watch, online, after exams. Can't wait! But its a two-month long wait. Hope I'll survive till then. Otherwise, it's study, study, study.
Currently just taking a break from doing my intensive math revision for tomorrow's math test. Blogging is a really good way to relax yourself. But now, I have to go back to studying for the rest of the day. Got loads to revise. And there's chinese spelling tomorrow.
