‘‘because tonight will be the night that i fall for you’’
Prologue
the girl next door
I could go back to every laugh,
But I don't wanna go there anymore,
And I know all the steps up to your door,
But I don't wanna go there anymore.
I’ll leave my window open,
Cause I’m too tired at night to call your name.
Just know I’m right here hoping,
That you’ll come in with the rain.

Life has been really stupid lately. I’ve been experiencing these awful splitting headaches for the whole of Saturday and Sunday. Even right now. It’s really annoying. It’s causing me to doze off at weird intervals of the day at my desk. I can’t even study properly. Everytime I try to study, I have to stop in the end because its just too torturous. And its making me really antsy because I still have a lot of work to catch up with and the headaches are preventing me from doing so. I actually planned to do quite an amount of work this long weekend and look what happened. What’s more, there’s history test tomorrow and yu wen ce yan on Thursday. How am I supposed to get good grades if I can’t even study a thing! Maybe its because I’ve been sleeping at 1am every night for the past few days because I’ve been trying to catch up with my work and well, have been failing miserably in the process.
My zhou ji is written terribly because I didn’t watch the National Day parade last night except for the fireworks, which were awesome. I had no idea what to write so I just wrote three-quarters of a page on some shit that I saw when I watched the fireworks. But that was all. And I still haven’t done the layout on Microsoft Publisher for the newspaper tabloid project and I haven’t finished writing my article on Founder’s Day! I know I’m being really irresponsible about all this but I can’t help it. My headache’s really killing me. Panadol please? And there’s still testpapers to be done, assessment books to complete, files and worksheets to revise, compositions to read, new vocabulary words to be learnt through newspapers and books, Chinese tuition exams coming up, my mother’s constant nagging, and the fact that I feel utterly inadequate and useless. I promised myself that I’d finish all my assessment books and testpapers by August. And then in September, it would be intensive revision throughout for EOYs.
Anyway, I've fully mastered Vanessa Carlton's A Thousand Miles on piano! Yay! Now, I'm moving on to Sara Bereille's Love Song. Can't wait to get started. Its been ages since I last touched my piano and playing it has soothed me somewhat. But my headache's still there.
Better go now to see if I can memorise more history facts. Headache, headache, go away!
