Prologue
the girl next door

http://infinity--onhigh.blogspot.com
I could go back to every laugh, But I don't wanna go there anymore, And I know all the steps up to your door, But I don't wanna go there anymore.
I’ll leave my window open, Cause I’m too tired at night to call your name. Just know I’m right here hoping, That you’ll come in with the rain.

Study-For-Math Day
Friday, September 11, 2009

Today is Study-for-Math day. So I’ll complete my math homework today and study math, together with a bit of science and English. I’ve finished an ACS (Barker) math SA2 paper 1 and I only got 46.5/50. All the mistakes I made were mistakes I could have avoided if I had bothered to check my paper. I’ve also done a Ngee Ann Secondary English SA2 paper, but I haven’t marked it yet. Anyway, hope to go through my math assessment books, do a few exercises, master perimeter and plane areas of figures, polygons and triangles, angles, as well as number patterns. There’s loads of work to do today.

It’s the last day of the holidays. One week certainly does pass really quickly. But I’ll be extremely relieved to go back to school. And with the prospect of coming home after a hectic day at school to my brand new room, life will certainly be better. My new room is actually my brother’s room (I think I’ve mentioned this before). Its super quiet and away from all distractions so if I close my door (which I always do), I can’t hear anything. The scenery is awesome! I hated staring at the swimming pool and the gardens last time when I was still in my old room. It would have been pretty, if not for the fact that there are always people there. And the noises the residents make when they have barbeques and parties (which they often do) is plain annoying. Somehow, it just wasn’t conducive enough. So now, my brother took my room and I took his. Now, I’m facing the tennis court and the entrance to the carpark. This room is totally cut off from civilization altogether and I’m reveling in the loneliness of it all. That’s what I’ve always wanted anyway. And plus, there isn’t any sun streaming into the room in the afternoon, only in the mornings. I’m at school in the mornings so it’s a good thing as well. There’s loads of space in my new room as well and I have lots more wardrobe space. Another good point about my new room is the fact that there’s a television with cable tv! My parents want me to watch History Channel, Nat Geo, Discovery and all those programs. I love Discovery Science. It’s extremely fascinating. Occasionally, I do watch Disney Channel if there are any movies on.

Okay, enough ranting on and on about my lovely new room. Love the rainy weather today. Cold weather is always the best time to study. Wish it were this way, everyday. The scenery becomes much nicer as well and the air smells fresh.

Got to go cook lunch now...
