Looks like I've made a comeback to blogger after a month-long hiatus! Anyway, I plan to update both my blogger and tumblr whenever I post so reading either one is fine.
SaturdayWent for my last chinese tuition lesson today. I had to take the train to Lakeside and then walk all the way to tuition because my dad went to Genting and couldn't drive me. It was pretty normal, and we went through our exam compos. I got the highest in class with a
35/50. Its not much but its the highest I've ever gotten in tuition because they have really high standards. My 私函 was fine as well, with a 12/20 but I could have gotten 14/20 if not for my blasted wrongly-written-words. Oh, and I've realised, sitting in front is so much better than the back. Because one of the girls in my row didn't come, I had to move in front and the air-conditioning there is super cool. I hope to be able to sit there next year when tuition starts up again.
After tuition, I caught the train back to Clementi and I bought lunch from Mos Burger for my brother and I. Then, when lunch was cleared, my mum brought my brother and I to SP for dinner and for my bro's swimming lessons. I was enjoying myself at Food Haven, sipping an ice-cold mocha frapp and chatting with my mum (plus annoying my bro!). However, the weather took a turn for the worse and my brother couldn't have his swimming lesson. So my mum sent me back to the restaurant to buy dinner for my other bro and meet up with her at the MRT station because she was going off first. So I ordered the food and was toying around with my iPhone when the food came. I payed and
rushed off at top speed. I don't remember walking to fast in my entire life! Guess that just goes to show how
pampered I am. Anyway, I reached Dover MRT in about 7 minutes, and mind you, it was a long long walk. The train came when my mum, bro and I stepped off the escalator. Talk about perfect timing and things going your way! But the good fortune wasn't to last. When we reached Clementi, it was practically raining cats and dogs. My feet, shoes, and legs were all wet. And the human traffic was awful. Luckily, the shuttle bus came on time.
My dad came home later that night at 8+. He brought me the November issue of National Geographic and a chinese Reader's Digest, as well as two bottles of chewing gum and the Transformers 2 DVD! The whole family watched it and I guess only my dad, little bro and I enjoyed the show. My mum was commentating and critizicing all the way. But I have to admit, the show didn't have a very good storyline. But the action was
awesome! Altogether, a brainless but action-packed show.
SundayThere was church today and I was pretty grouchy in the morning because my parents pulled me out of bed at 7+. I wore a white T-shirt that I managed to dig out after months of not wearing it and my usual flared UCB skirt. We went to breakfast at KFC where I stuffed a burger, a twister, and a porridge down my throat. It was seriously
amazing! I guess I was just so hungry I ate everything. But that wasn't the end of it. In church, during the Holy Communion, I felt light-headed and dizzy, sort of a floaty sensation in my head. So, my mum brought me downstairs to sit down and wait for my little bro and dad to finish. Then, Auntie Catherine came over to talk to my mum and I joined in the conversation whenever appropriate. Too bad Carmen didn't come.
At about 11.30, the service was over and we went to Jack's Place @ Jurong Safra for lunch. The teriyaki chicken rice was nice, and so was the peach melba dessert. When lunch was over, we took a short trip back home to store the ice-cream, which my parents bought at the King's Ice Cream Factory Sale earlier, in the house. After that, we went to Fairprice Finest and got loads of goodies. My bro and I were walking around and choosing food, but of course, not without a few arguments along the way.
We reached home at 5, and I guess that's where yesterday ended.
TodayWoke up at 7.30 this morning. Was super tired because I stayed up till 1am last night to do some math, goodness knows what for.
There's choir later at 2.30. Darn, I really wish I didn't have to go. Anyway, its something to occupy my time after all.
Time to go now. Perhaps I'll update later?
updatesChoir practice today wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Truth is, it was actually rather fun. I had lunch with Prisca at SP before walking to school from there. We learnt a new song today. It was the "Animal Crackers" one which consisted of 3 parts. There was "Firefly", "Cow" and "Panther". The songs are ridiculously high though. I had to strain my voice to reach the high parts which goes to show how out of practice I've been. Anyway, I caught 196 with Angel and she was talking about sick things and making me laugh. Angel should really join drama. She's so dramatic and hilarious! When I got back, my aunt and uncle were at my house for dinner and they brought their new baby. It was cute, but most people would know I'm not a big fan of small kids.
I just managed to complete my math worksheet, except for the last two chapters. I'm planning to going to the library soon to borrow some books for the ORCA book reviews and then, get my sec 2 school books, assessments and school supplies. Perhaps I should get the CDs I promised myself earlier in the year as well...
I can't wait to go to Taiwan in December. Like, seriously, its going to be so awesome! I'm going to get everyone's christmas presents from Taiwan so if you want something in particular, tag on my tagboard or email me (:
